Projects
Each Lions Club is autonomous, and providing it functions within the rules of the Association, all funds raised by the Club are used to support projects decided by the Club.

How we raise our money

From its inception, the Lions Club of Joondalup has raised the majority of its funds by  supporting the Lions Mint Programme, Aluminium Can recycling and the sale of Lions Christmas cakes.  Recent projects have included barbeques, raffles and a car rally.

How we spend our money

The Lions Club of Joondalup has been establishing itself at a time when the City of Joondalup has itself been growing, and we are currently trying to identify a local community project.

Each year we have sponsored local children for the Lions "Children of Courage" Awards and the Lions "Youth of the Year". We have also supported the Australian Lions Foundation (which gave immediate aid to Moora and Exmouth in recent times), the Lions Cancer Institute, the Lions Save-sight Foundation, The Lions Help to Hear Foundation (for the newly established facility at the Joondalup Health Campus), the Lions Hearing Dogs and the Lions Hart Walker Appeal.

Our next community project is on 19th January 2002
at the Brightwater Joondalup Low Care Facility
6 Jolstra Crescent,  Joondalup
when we will be providing the barbecue for the residents
and their families when they will be holding their
10th Birthday celebrations
